Beautiful Bookshelves

I love a good library and thanks to our new vintage brass frog bookends, today we're showcasing some pretty fabulous bookshelves. I tend to like them packed mostly full of books with a few select decorative accessories added in between. Let your display tell your story...

Black + White Toile

Inspired by our English transferware tray, here's a round up of striking black + white toile de jouy. It's a classic and graphic look that shines on traditional or modern walls, upholstery, and ceramic.

Staffordshire Style (Pugs!)

Our new pair of vintage ceramic pugs remind me of the highly collectible English Staffordshire dogs.  While totally traditional, they add a sense of whimsy to more modern settings and look fabulous on both a cluttered bookshelf and minimalist mantel. I have a pair passed down to me from my grandparents, or you could bet I'd be keeping the pugs!

And, for my fellow pug lovers, a few photos of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor through the years with their (many!) beloved pugs:

Mirror, Mirror...

As of today, there are two new vintage mirrors in the shop:

A large round mirror with a gilded wooden frame that would look great on any wall...

And, a standing vanity mirror with an elaborate cast metal frame. Perfect on a desk or dresser...

Have a great day!
